At The Paternal Family Project, our approach is to support a community where pregnancy partners have access to the resources and support they need to make difficult choices within the context of having options grounded in access to resources that may not have been considered. We work toward this goal every day, by providing life changing services and advocating for policies that promote sound decision making and family building.
The Female Pregnancy Partner
Crossroads - Expectant Couple PFP Coaching
PFP Couple Counseling is free.
If couple agrees to accept the Paternal Family Option and Paternal Guardianship Agreement is signed, the female pregnancy partner receives the following:
- For women who prefer to carry in privacy, temporary relocation, furnished housing, and transportation services for the duration of the pregnancy are available through PFP’s Anonymity Network
- $2000 up front
- Free Medical Benefits for duration of Pregnancy and 1 Post Pregnancy wellness visit
- $1000 per month Maternity Compensation up to 10 months
- $3000 Balance Paid Upon Granting of Paternal Guardianship
Total: $15,000.00
The Expectant Father
Family Acceleration Phase - Upon Acceptance of Paternal Guardianship, Dad immediately qualifies for the PFO and he receives:
- 6 weeks Paid Leave FMLA
- $1000/month for 1 year
- Reduced Child Care for 5 Years
- Financial Planning College Savings Options for PFOs
- Spend2Save Program gives Paternal Family Dads the option to receive deep discounts on all purchases from Participating Retailers and the savings will go into an account for the child. That savings accumulates and can be used to pay for child, youth, and teen care expenses including but not limited to:
- Enrichment Activities and Sports
- Field Trips
- Summer Camps
- Arts/Music Lessons and Instruments
- Books and Games
- School Supplies and Clothing
- Christmas Savings
- Family Trips
- Computers/Etc.
